Many students would be thrilled to hear that FDTC was planning on building a food court with a variety of different lunch options. Currently, the only option for food here at FDTC is a Subway. Although, this is a very nutritious and appetizing food choice, it is the only one that the school has. Myself and many of my fellow classmates have grown tired of eating Subway every day and have resorted to not eating while at school. Most colleges do not offer a designated lunch provided by the school because every student has different classes at different times of the day. Therefore, whatever restaurant is on campus or close to campus is where students have to go to eat lunch. However, if there was a food court on campus, then students could easily grab their lunch and get back to class or studying. With …show more content…

The food court could include a variety of options such as those for vegetarians. Many students on campus today, do not eat lunch because Subway is the only option. Even I, only being here since August, have grown tired of only being able to eat Subway. My fellow classmates have resorted to buying bags of chips out of the vending machines instead of eating at Subway. Even though there are fast food restaurants very close to FDTC, some students cannot drive or do not have the time to go to these places for lunch. If a food court was built at FDTC it would be helpful for students but also very beneficial. A student cannot perform at his or her best if they have not eaten all day. Many students do not get to eat breakfast, therefore, they rely on eating lunch. If a student does not eat, he or she will feel cranky and unfocused on their work in class. Also, students that leave campus for lunch every day would not have to anymore. Those students could stay on campus and study on their lunch breaks instead of leaving.
