Ferris is a static round character, he is a round character because throughout the movie he shows a range of emotions. For example he expresses joy when his sister helps him at the end of the movie, lying to principal Rooney, he shows compassion for Cameron multiple times in the movie, like when Cameron's dad’s Ferrari crashes. There are many more moments where Ferris shows other emotions. However throughout the movie his character does not change, unlike cameron, so he will be considered as a static character. Cameron can be categorised as a dynamic character, emotions varying from sadness and despair when he is lying sick in bed to happiness and relieve when he finally decides he is gonna confront his dad. Principal Rooney is a flat static character in the movie, his character doesn’t develop in the movie, and he only shows one or two emotions. One of them being hate towards Ferris for getting away with everything, and making his life as a principal more difficult. And finally Jeanie, she is a flat character. She shows primarily two emotions in the movie, however she is a dynamic character because she changes at the end of the movie. At first she is jealous of Ferris for always getting away with everything, and everything always going his way. At the end of the movie however she realises she shouldn’t be so considered about Ferris, and she should be focusing more on herself. At the end of the movie Jeanie helps Ferris get away with skipping school, this shows her development, because she was always trying to get Ferris busted for doing something
