Editing plays a crucial role in the for and meaning of any feature film. In the “Film Studies: An Introduction” by Ed Sikov, the book touches on the many forms of editing and how that effects the meaning of a film. For instance, the book uses the Kuleshov Experiment to illustrate how editing can drastically change the viewer's’ perspective; each piece in this experiment show the same shot of a man face, followed by a different image each time.
