While reading Kathryn Walbert’s essay on primary sources I learned many important things. The first thing I learned was that primary sources are anything created for the purpose of studying that was created in historical times. The second thing I learned is that primary sources are important to read about because they are very important keys to what life was like in the past. This is very important because it gives you an in depth understanding of how life was and gives you more information on what you are trying to study. The third thing that I learned was that simply because something is made now from the historical time period doesn’t make that item a primary source.
Gutenberg made knowledge more accessible to the population of Europe. When Larry Page and Sergey Brin invented Google they did not make interpreting knowledge less complex. Page and Brin made the knowledge more accessible to the population of the world. They did not create something that makes us lethargic and less intelligent they created something that makes us smarter and able to process tasks more efficiently. If we did not ask questions about the world we would not seek out the knowledge that is now right in front of us; “Today, there is enough information in the world for every person alive to be give three times as much that was held in Alexandria’s entire collection”(Leslie par 2).
Lying in bed that night, Encyclopedia thought about what his mom said about him being a detective when he grows up, but he didn’t want to wait that long. The next morning he thought that he would begin right now. He printed 50 handbills, which he placed in each neighbor’s mail box. After a day of rain, a tiny boy with a pair of rubber boots and a raincoat appeared near the door. Clarence said that Bugs Meany— the leader of the “Tigers” gang— had stolen his tent.
I agree with everything that Danah Boyd has to say in “Wikipedia as a Site of Knowledge Production.” Her work is relatable, humorous, and casual, while being compelling. The subject is easy to understand because I often use Wikipedia. She makes it relatable by including the inputs of real students. It appears that she has done a lot of research and interviews on this subject, which gives the reader more real-time information to think about.
Knowledge is the condition of knowing something. When given it does not decrease, but will only increase. It is collective thoughts and experiences people go through. Books are the greatest source of knowledge and help develop the human mind. Knowledge also helps people not commit the same mistakes again and again.
It is information that's adapted to a purpose to create emotion and meaning to the world. Knowledge should not be expected to be perfect. Knowledge is created by imaginative and critical thought. Knowledge for the future helps us think outside the box to be able to communicate logically with one another.
This historical document was written by Private John G. Burnett. Burnett’s diary entry was written on December 11, 1890. The years of the diary were during his journey through the Trail of Tears between 1828 and 1839. Burnett was a reserved person who was just fine with being by himself for weeks at a time. As he hunted more and more, he became acquainted with many of the Cherokee Indians who grew to eventually become his friends.
In Dibs In Search of Self by Virginia Axline, a young boy named Dibs is causing trouble at school and at his home, refusing to talk, play, or participate in lessons of any kind. The author, a child therapist and psychologist, thus begins to help Dibs through a sequence of play therapy sessions every thursday, in a room where he would be free to do whatever he wanted, and his actions would be recorded. Here, Axline learns that Dibs had created a barrier around himself to avoid having to respond or interact with other people, which seems to have been caused by the lack of love and support from his parents. Him and his father have a poor relationship, where his father seems to lock him in his room when he does anything to annoy him. His mother thought he was mentally retarded, and resented him for a while since having a child ruined her career as a surgeon; and he never got along with his sister, Dorothy.

In other words, they are sources of information by which one can come to know about particular subjects.
Keep School Sports You have probably seen or heard about your school’s team’s victories or losses. You might wear a T-shirt or sweatshirt advertising the teams. But, to most people, they aren’t considered all too much. Even though you may not give them much thought, they can actually benefit students.
First one is “everyone must have the freedom to communicate with anyone”, because the most efficient way to deal with numerous problems is to trust people to work out the difficulties directly with each other without having to check for permission. Second principle is “it must be safe for everyone to offer ideas”, Pixar make a concerted effort to make it safe to criticize by showing what they liked and did not like with the explanation why. The third principle is “we must stay close to innovations happening in the academic community” in order to reinforce the mind-set to improve their
Commitment to ongoing learning is also recognised as an essential element. Teachers should be passionate about, not only student learning, but their own personal growth and professional development. Freedom and social justice: Respect for personal rights and freedoms, as well as for culture, human rights and dignity are essential elements that need to be present in daily practicum. Respect: Teachers should honour human dignity, emotional wellness and cognitive development of students.
Information literacy helps students recognize misleading, out-of-date, or false information. It also helps them sort through the data and interpret it intelligently. Libraries full of books are still available and a valuable resource for students, but information literacy includes the Internet and beyond. Teachers are involve into it, they act as channel of information.
