Nursing is a dynamic profession created with a foundation of art and science. Nursing is defined as a part of the health care system that “focuses on the promotion of health and prevention of illness” (Watson). In addition to the definition, nursing is also the well-being of people all ages in all health care and community settings. Nursing is often looked as one of the most influential professions that comes with a lot of requirements. Nursing did not start overnight, this field took time to develop and advance. Florence Nightingale is often considered to be the founder of modern nursing.
