In 1851, Florida State University was first founded. Fifty-four years later, one of Florida’s most well respected universities was then founded: The University of Florida. If you ask any Florida resident about either of these rival schools, they will 100% have something to say about them, and 110% belong to either the Noles or the Gators. Both being prestigious Universities with outstanding academics, The University of Florida far surpasses Florida State University with its higher ranked majors, underrated football team, and better location and campus appeal. The list of majors from both UF, and FSU are very different in the aspect that UF offers almost twenty more majors than FSU. This bigger selection allows the students that attend UF to have more of a option when deciding what to major in. The Gators are viewed as a “crappy” football team due to a few previous unsuccessful seasons. Meanwhile, FSU is viewed as a “god” amongst the ACC, and claimed as one of the most successful football teams out there due to their past two seasons and current one. The Florida Gators is what a real football team with perseverance and undermined success look like. Having only lost one game this season so far in the SEC is outstanding. On the other hand, FSU gets all the praise and recognition because of their national champion title. Keep in mind that they are playing significantly easier teams than UF. UF remains a humble college football team who week after week this season has defied the odds put against them and come out with the win they have deserved.
