On the day January 30, 1882, a young boy was born who would live on to become the 32nd president of the United States. Franklin D. Roosevelt has had numerous actions in his life, the most important were his World War II accomplishments, his actions while he was president, and his help in the great depression.
Franklin Roosevelt was elected as president in 1932. His most illustrious competitor was Herbert Hoover, the 31st president. Hoover left his presidency and his country in an economic slump also known as the Great Depression. Roosevelt won by a landslide and made many changes to the poor state of the United States. Within his first 100 days in the office, he pushed through 15 major congress bills, setting an example for any future president. Today, each president is measured by the how much they accomplish during their first 100 days in office as president.

Roosevelt was one of the biggest factors in World War II. At this time he was the president of the U.S. and a lot of things the U.S. did was done by him. During World War II, FDR made an alliance with great britain to keep us safe from other countries. This then led to the lend-lease act, which was to give aid to U.S. soldiers during World War II. Roosevelt then discussed with the U.S. that we should let go of the isolation policy, which stopped him short from telling everyone about the dangers on germany, japan, and many other countries. World war 2 then led us to the great depression, which Roosevelt tried his best to fix. Most of the wars we won were by our allies, which Roosevelt speaked to out of country and was known to be the only president ever to leave the country during a war. If it wasn't for Roosevelt being such a big part in the world war 2 times, this country would be as great as it is right
