Franny & Zooey by J.D Salinger is a book where the author talks about how Franny & Zooey life is after Seymour’s death and when Buddy is not around anymore. The question is how does Seymour’s death and Buddy being no longer present affect Franny. Franny was all about theater and being the person who doesn’t care what other people really think of here. It affected her by her being religious, the pilgrim book, and identity crisis. First off Franny has an Identity crisis which is affected by Seymour’s death and Buddy being no longer present because she doesn’t have anyone to look at, Zooey is still trying to figure out stuff and their mom doesn’t really know what she is going through. Without Seymour or Buddy to help her she doesn’t try to find who she truly is. In the text the author writes about how Franny is tired of school and acting because of all the ego. “I’m just sick of ego, ego, ego. My own and everybody else’s.
