Insane, deranged is what I could be at any moment. Everyone can split their personalities in two categories. The one category is sweet and reasonable, the other is crazy and unpredictable. Friedrich Nietzsche essay “Apollonianism and Dionyianism” compares the two Greek gods Apollo and Dionysus. The essay is a uses amazing imagery when comparing and contrasting the two sides every human uses. Lee A. Jacobus comments on Nietzsche essay that, “Apollo dominates intellectually. He demands clarity, order, reason, calm. He is also the god of the individual. Dionysus, on the other hand, is the god of ecstasy and passion. (Merriam Webster) When my first alarm clock goes off in the morning waking me up the very first thing I do is think of is myself. The very thoughts that goes through my head is I do not want get out of bed and I do not want to put on pants. In the morning I am very Dionysus as the day goes on I shift to Apollo and start to be more focused on my school work. It is between my first and last class of the day that I become more of a person of reason.
If I would to have a Dionysus and Apollo in one morning it would be a more balanced morning. Instead of making my lunch in the morning I could make it at night; therefore, in the morning I could wake up at 6:50. I would use my loud alarm clock so I would wake up on time. I would get ready, make a cup of coffee, eat, check if my car needs to be defrosted fifteen minutes before I need to leave. But sometimes as a human I need to live life as Dionysus so I do not go crazy.
Everyone has had to pull an all-nighter of studying or writing a paper. It is ok it just skip the next day of school or to not show up to class. Every now and again a human needs a break from the stressful things we face. If we as humans do not take personal days it can affect our mental health. The body and mind can do so much before it breaks down. Giving yourself some freedom to relax is
