Today I am going to tell you about famous astronomer Galileo Galilei. Galileo was first born on 15th of February 1564 in Pisa, Italy and he died on 8th of January 1642 Arcetri, Italy. Galileo didn’t invent the first ever telescope but he did invent his own telescope which assisted him with finding Saturn and Jupiter. Galileo didn’t only find Jupiter but as well as 4 of its moons. Galileo also found out about Saturn’s rings but he thought of them as ears. In 1632 Galileo published his theory, Galileo’s theory was that all the planets revolve around the sun but many didn’t believe him. Neptune is the 3rd biggest planet in our solar system it has a radius of 24,622 km and a diameter of 49, 500 km. Neptune is the 17.15x the size of earth. Neptune …show more content…
The temperature on Neptune is a lot colder than our planet with an effective temperature of -214°C and an average temperature of -201°C but it isn’t as cold as Jupiter! Jupiter can get a temperature of -234°C and also it can warm down to a temperature of -145°C. Neptune has also got a extremely active climate and it will change temperatures much quicker than we would on earth. Neptune & Earth are different in many ways such as size the size of Neptune compared to Earth is 3.9x bigger. Mass can also be a big difference, the mass of Neptune is 1.02x 10^26 kg or you could say 102,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 where as earth is 5,972,000,000,000,000,000,000 or 5.972x 10^24 that’s a total of 57 Earths into NEPTUNE with extra room! The days on Neptune are quite short as they are only 16 Hours and 6 minutes. The volume of Neptune is a total of 6.3 x〖10〗^13 km^3 where as Earth is 6.37 x 106 m. On Earth as we know a year is 365 days/one year but on Neptune one full year is 164.79 Earth years. On Neptune they need a source of energy and water to contain a source of life. It would be microbial life but it will still be life. Kilometres below the surface of Neptune there may be water but it isn’t classified yet. Scientists think that there may be potential life on Neptune and it is unknown still to today. Neptune’s thought of life remains a mystery now and for a while. Neptune is one of 4 planets with planetary rings. Neptune’s rings were only identified and defined in 1989 but in the 1900’s they thought they were rings but couldn’t be sure it was. The first ring was discovered a little before this in 1968 and they were unable to confirm that it was a full ring! Neptune’s rings are way better than Uranus, Saturn &
