Gangs in Youth 61 Hypothesis (H): Parental social control, attachment, and involvement; school safety; peer fighting; age; and race similarly influence boys’ and girls’ gang involvement. 2 Hypothesis: (Ha): The most antisocial youths and those with more delinquency victimization were more likely to join gangs.3 Hypothesis: (H0): Genetic factors cause people to the development of both gang involvement and carrying a handgun. Identification of Variables For this research, the independent variable is the youth engagement in gangs, while the dependent variable is the reasons that youth have for engagement in gangs. In addition, the most important part that influences in a child education starts at home. If a child is raising in a good family/educational environment the possibilities to have positive outcomes will be greater. However, with my other article that is all “Guns, Gangs, and Genes: Evidence of an Underlying Genetic Influence on GangInvolvement and Carrying a Handgun,” give do not give me enough information about what I was looking. The social environment is the main reason why individuals commit a crime. Gangs are a big problem for us because as I mentioned before gangs are the main prominent that cause negative effects on socially, culturally and personally. It is not an easy task; however, we must do something else to stop this crime. DiscussionThese findings determined that my hypothesis is definitely true. I did a very strong analysis that helps to determine that by having a good environment in where children could grow up will help to stop gangs delinquency when they grow up. I believe that if a child is molding with positive morals, values, and beliefs during childhood, those would help later in their life to have a positive decision making.
