In American culture today, nothing is done right unless it’s big. Everything has to be improved upon including water. Gatorade is a renowned sugary sports drink specifically designed to enhance sport performance over that of water, a basic human need. athletes, and even Sport fans, will do almost anything to get ahead of the competition. This ad is typically found inside of sports related magazines, it attempts to appeal to two main types of people: the athletes who want to become one of the greats, and even the dedicated moms who cheer on their children from the bleachers. Through a variety of tactics, such as visual, textual, and even cultural means, this advertisement makes a clear statement that in order to succeed in sports, Gatorade fuels results. The usage of blurring, textual position, and color demonstrate a visually persuasive technique, while the actual content of the text targets the audience’s emotions to advertise the product. The models pictured in the advertisement give it a cultural nuance to express the “melting-pot” aspect of American society and widen its appeal in doing so. …show more content…

The reader can identify that the advertisement revolves about the relationship between those two key people. Furthermore the reader can identify that the game a hand is being played and a impending touchdown is about to occur setting the scene as an intense moment within the advertisement meaning that high stakes are on the line. In the bottom right region of the image you can see a bottle of Gatorade, leaving the reader to deduce that this moment was made possible by Gatorade. Looking in terms of the color of the Gatorade you can see that it correlates with the color of the jersey of the assumed winning team, leading to the conclusion that no matter the situation their is a gatorade to
