Plato’s “The Allegory of the Cave” described men who rejected reality based off their truthiness which indeed said the shadows were the truest of things. In the end these men missed out on the ultimate reality of what was above the cave. According to the Cable News Network, what Gavin has is gender dysphoria, “…the feeling that your body does not match what your brain feels.” Gavin Grimm’s truthiness is that he is a boy and he feels he has the right to use the boy’s bathroom. In Gavin Grimm’s case, transgenders claim they have the rights to use whatever restroom they personally identify with. However, in reality and concordance with biological truths, they are false. In Proverbs 18:2, the Bible says, “Fools have no interest in understanding, they only want to air their own opinions” (New Living Translation). According to a Biblical definition of a fool, transgenders have claimed to be wise, but in reality they have become fools. This rejection of reality and embodiment of Romans 1:22 also shows itself in the issue of abortion.
