When Alex woke up he grabbed his hatchet knowing that he had to do something with it but he didn't know what. As he thought about what he could do he went outside and stoked the fire. He sat down and watched the tiny sticks catch on fire and slowly turn black and at that moment he heard something in the bushes rustling behind him and before he could turn his head completely around then a huge wall of brown fur slammed into him. Alex also had be crushing weight of something in his lap. Alex just lay there for a moment gathering his thoughts and when he opened his eyes he got a better view of things bit everything was still blurry from his head hurting so much but he could make out something that was very large in size in front of him and partially on him. He tried to get up but couldn't move because of the pain in his chest so he just lay there slowly falling asleep as he watched the sun go down. He woke up again in the middle of the night but he still couldn't move, the light of the full moon gave him the ability to now clearly see what was laying on him and foe a second he thought it was a bear but then he saw the antlers and he knew what it was a moose, it wasn't a very big moose and he was thankful of that because if it was it might have killed him. He kept looking for the place that the batchet hit and then he say that it had hit the moose square in the eye, there was blood all over the sand and on him and on the moose but he still didn't have the energy to get up so he went back to sleep looking at the low burning
