In Animal Farm by George Orwell, the author portrays the Russian Revolution through various animal's on a farm. In his story, Orwell portrays philosopher Karl Marx as a pig named Old Major. Old Major delivers a statement to the rest of the animals on the farm in which he blames humans for all of their problems and miserable lives. He believes that if they were to overthrow the humans, they would be free to live live simpler and happier lives. This causes the animals to start a rebellion against all human's, starting with the owner Mr. Jones. They begin establishing their own lifestyles on the farm without Jones.
