In the movie The Christmas Carol, Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by three spirits. Scrooge did not like Christmas because his partner died on Christmas eve. This caused him to hate Christmas, and become a cold, hearted person. His last visit effected him in an emotional way. It changed the way he looks at the world, and has emotions for the people around him.
Christmas is times for poorer and richer enjoy together except for one man that being ignore and mean to other people and his family. He’s name Scrooge. He is such a mean person that always cares about money than any other things. On Christmas day his friend Jacob came to visit him as a ghost and told scrooge that there will 3 more ghosts came to visit him. First, the past ghost brought him to his past time that full of joy.
The Ghost’s whole goal is to influence Scrooge to live a life of modesty and compassion, so he does that by bringing him to the quiet countryside of his childhood. According to the book, “as to see his heightened and excited face (Dickens 35) Scrooge was content with how the Ghost of Christmas Past was treating him. He influences Scrooge a lot more than the other Ghost because he is connected with him and feels the most comfortable with him because he is not towering over him or completely mysterious. Already, it can be seen that this Ghost has affected the heart of the person who is said to be “ hard and sharp as flint.”
The ghost of Christmas past influenced Scrooge because it showed him that money doesn’t matter. The ghost showed Scrooge with Belle and Scrooge realized what he missed out on. Scrooge and Belle were not together anymore because he cared more about his wealth than her. The ghost of Christmas past showed Scrooge a time when Belle broke off their engagement and Scrooge said, “Spirit! Show me no more!

The future ghost looked like the grim reaper, but without the sharp sword thing the grim reaper carries. The future ghost took Ebenezer to his grave and it showed him when he was going to die. He was going to die soon if he did not change and that is what really caught his attention.

Scrooge's name starts an argument in the Cratchit's house and has the feeling as though saying his last name is a burden. When the Ghost comes, Scrooge wants to change his actions after seeing what he saw.
