Clifton Davis participated in a school trip to the Glen Echo Park, only to find out his money was wasted due to the fact that the park would not let him in because of his skin color. The Glen Echo Park is unjustified, as its policy to exclude all negro’s is unfair and it clearly speaks against the Declaration of Independence. “All men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” (Declaration of Independence)

Glen Echo Park only excludes blacks!!! Is this fair and equal? Another major quote from the Declaration of Independence is that “All men are created equal.” This shows that Glen Echo’s policy to reject colored people is not equal and not fair to those who just want to have fun. Furthermore, the policy is just like not letting anchovies be on pizza because they are from the ocean and not like everything else on the pizza because they are all from land. According to the 14th amendment, Glen Echo Park is breaking the rule for denying people 's liberty. According to dictionary.reference.com the literal definition for liberty is as follows…
•freedom from arbitrary or despotic government or control
•freedom or right to frequent or use a place
These mean that Mr. Davis should have been able to attend the Glen Echo Amusement Park. This shows that the Glen Echo park disobeyed the 14th Amendment, according to the definition. Furthermore, Mr. Davis should have been given liberty and equality. The Glen Echo Park does not treat everyone with equality and it is not fair to the ones who are not being treated as other people.
Lastly, Glen Echo Amusement Park should change their organisation to include all people, of all colors. Not letting the lonely anchovies on the pizza is just as gratuitous as rejecting a colored person from an amusement park. How would you feel if you were not aloud to have fun, because of your skin
