Good WIll Hunting Good Will Hunting was a movie about a boy that had many behavioral issues. Many of these behaviors were shown throughout the movie. He Picked fights with anyone he could, he turned everything into a joke, and he was very profane. WIll Hunting was also very smart. He worked at MIT as a janitor and finished peoples equations. He was smarter than the smartest professor there. Throughout the movie, we learned many things about his background. He was abandoned as a child and was in and out of foster homes. He had a history of abuse in the foster homes which made him turn out to be what he was. He had many battery charges and also a few grand theft auto. Will avoided any long-term commitments such as; relationships and jobs. After he picked a fight with a group of kids and hit a cop, he was sentenced to jail. A professor that had seen his work convinced the judge to let him out. WIll was only allowed to stay out of jail if he helped the math …show more content…

Will did not want to attain a serious job or a serious relationship. Will got a really good job offer and he sent his friend to the interview instead. Will’s girlfriend asked him if he would come to California with him but he refused. He ended their relationship and avoided her. He didn’t want to gain any other friends than the ones he already had. They were the only people in his life that he thought actually cared for him. Another disorder Will Hunting could’ve been diagnosed with was Post traumatic Stress disorder. This may have been what WIll had due to the abandonment and abuse as a child. He was in and out of foster homes so he never had an actual family. Will never wanted to talk about his childhood. He always lied about his feelings and about his childhood. Will would randomly have outburst of anger or sadness. He almost hit his girlfriend during one of these
