"Weight loss is simple. Eat less, move more, use common sense with your food choices. This is simple, but weight loss is not easy and that's because food becomes a crutch - a source of comfort and a coping mechanism for so many." While Michaels stresses the importance of diet for weight loss, she's still a very big proponent of regular exercise. She concedes that many people find it hard to juggle gym time with all of life's other commitments but notes that she's concerned with the trend of micro workouts. "
It was July 4, 2016, when the thought of losing weight and having a toned body was a way of the past. Barbell Republic Strength and Conditioning opened their doors offering an array of cardio, strength training, and weightlifting workouts. I have always been competitive from junior high into high school (I wanted to be first) and participating in Cross Fit it has fulfilled my desire to compete. On the 8th of April, 2017, my friend Stephanie and I competed in a local charitable Cross Fit challenge in Las Vegas. The event was a day full of competition, food, supplements, clothing lines and most importantly giving back.

One of those challenges would be to go to the gym at least once a day. The reason I would do this because like Matt talks about, time goes on and it is up to us to actually take the first step. The example that he gave us had to a lot of what we see on the T.V. one of those situations was the 30 day challenge where the main character eats McDonalds for 30 day straight. He does this by letting the 30 days going forward and changing habits to be able to eat the fast food. Going back to the idea of me going to the gym would be using this same concept and constantly doing this habit until finally it become something that I am used
From a very young age, I have never excelled at sports and physical fitness. Throughout my school years, PE class was a struggle, and I found it hard to keep up. After Grade 11, PE finally became an elective, which caused me to breathe a gigantic sigh of relief, however, after a short few months, I realized how unfit I was becoming compared to other students. After another 3 months, I finally decided to join my local gym. It was very challenging at first, but I did not let this deter my drive towards becoming healthier and more fit.
Furthermore, when I am motivated to work out, I enjoy running outside. I view the gym as a very reliable place to work out, but I also believe gym’s are boring and provide a disadvantage for athlete because the athletes do not become accustomed to the heat or the cold. I believe lifting weights can be an important activity in sports that are more physical, but I personally find lifting weights extremely boring. Most of the people in the gym had their headphones in and were inside of their own world, oblivious to what was going on in all of the surrounding areas. The majority of the conversations that were going on were most often strictly gym based questions. I heard a few questions that were not just gym based but for the most part I was hearing questions about the weight amounts people should use, or questions of people asking another person to put more weight onto their machines and such things. One specific conversation I heard was two guys talking about the pre-workout and post-workout they drink, the guys were discussing their favorites and why they were their favorites. My favorite part of the conversation was at the end when they both said they
