Introduction
“If you do not know what the term Google means, there is a leading Internet search you can use to find it out.” This is how Hoover’s Company Records starts their profile on Google, showing the success that the company has achieved. Google Incorporation is the leading company in internet search engine and the term “google it” is often used when there is a need to search for something online.
Google success is not only because of their unique internet search algorithm, it is also because of their mission and organizational culture, which it was developed since the beginning of the company by its founders, Larry Page and Sergei Brin. According to Finkle (2012): “Google mission was not based on money alone; rather it improved the

Page believes that by tackling big ideas “that could really change the world”, smart people would be attracted and be able to achieve something that is worthwhile, even if it is not the original goal. The Google’s search engine was an idea that came to Page in a dream. The idea was to download the entire web and keeping the links. “When no one else is crazy enough to do it, you have little competition,” he said. He asks the staff to give him 60-words updates or pitches on their current projects, which comes out to about two compressed paragraphs to impress and compel. Moreover, he also encourages faster decision and openness. The fourth is to recognize the significance of small moves. The products at Google has new features and are improving constantly. The company is also connecting with students, which will be their future staff and user base. The students can use their skills to join a Web 2.0 and press for more use of Google products. It may seem like small steps, but it can bring big rewards and improve Google’s reputation, and just as important, are getting Google’s products into more hands.
Finally, the fifth is to persevere. Some of Google’s product took years to be done, like Google Maps with Street View. He needs to convince the staff it would work. Another project was Google’s book digitization, that took six years for the staff to start working. Other ideas include a robotic car that drives itself and adding details where to recharge electric cars on maps. Page interest in alternative fuel cars dates back to 1993.
