Determination, structure, and strong relationships with family are all values of German culture. Indeed, because I was raised in a German household, those exact values have shaped me into who I am today: a young, passionate woman with a vision for her future. However, in my youth, I never anticipated the influence family would have on my educational and career goals in business. Throughout my childhood, my parents stressed the significance of schoolwork and discovering new crafts equally. Having said that, exploring my eagerness to grow was essential throughout my childhood. Thus, at the start of my Junior year, enrolling as a full-time Running Start student at Everett Community College introduced me to the fast-paced, flexible learning environment that I craved. After a strenuous first two years of high school, my grades improved instantly and I became passionate about what I studied, in both business and nonbusiness courses. Eventually, I found my place in Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and received frequent praise from my professors and peers. However, the college environment also transformed my habits and influenced me to develop new skills. A combination of hundreds of challenging assignments, countless hours of studying, and my drive to succeed allowed me to master the art of time management without sacrificing the quality of my work. Additionally, both positive and negative group project experiences taught me what a successful team looks like, and how to take initiative when a team is heading towards failure.
