The Greek god Deimos is known as being the god of fear and dread, he is the god best known for nightmares. Some back ground on him is that he is brother of Phobos. His parents are Ares and Aphrodite the god of war and the goddess of beauty. Deimos was known for riding with his father into battles in Greek times and slaying those who opposed his family. Deimos is best depicted as the person who would strike his enemies with dread. Dread so horrible that they would end up killing themselves later on. He was also known as Formido and Metus, these names were for when he lived umong humans. Deimos is a monster because he curses people, causes huge death counts day to day and is known as being the reason for fear itself. Starting off with, Deimos’s curses were so horrible to the human mind because they would rob them of sleep completely. Some nightmares were of people getting torn in two but living through the whole ordeal. Then to wake up to experience the dream again next time they fall asleep. Most people ended up taking their own lives quite quickly. Deimos would curse most enemies on the battlefield so that they cannot fight. People could not hide from his curse… They would always find a way to your mind and kill you slowly unless you were a god yourself. Most gods were unaffected by Deimos’s powers this was because they were mighty. The amount of blood on Deimos’s hands were gallons upon gallons. Rivers could be filled with all the blood he spilled, and the bodies would pile quite high. So in the end Deimos ranked high in death
