As the situation in Europe developed into a stalemate between the Allies and the Central powers, actions taken against civilians, namely US citizens, angered the United States. Despite the mounting incentive for war, many Americans were hesitant about joining a war on the other side of the world. However, all of this changed on April 6, 1917, when Congress passed President Wilson’s resolution for war. With public opinion unsure about their participation, the government had to build public support and refocus the entire economy on the war effort. In the interest of preparing for and supporting the war, Congress gave President Wilson control over the economy, allowing him to regulate and nationalize any war-related industries.

I mostly like zues because ZEUS was the king of the gods, and god of the sky, weather, fate and law.

l Myths started along time ago, around the period of Chaos. It started with the Holy people who lived 12 lower worlds down from earth 's surface. One day there was a flood. Which meant they had to crawl up to the earth’s surface. At this time a woman gave birth to two “Hero Twins” one called “Monster Slayer” and the other “Child of the Waters”.
Then while looking in the psychology aspect one can use the stories that are told in the myths (“Mythology”). In psychology they use mythological stories to give people hope. Most of all the stories within mythology has some some great tragedy, but hearing those struggles could help people to carry on just because those great heroes had the strength to carry on, and like the struggling person the heroes are human. The allusions one sees everyday can be used later in life due to the fact that the higher the education the more it is obvious mythology takes place in the studies
For example, The myth The Odyssey follows the life of Greek war hero, Odysseus on his journey back home to Ithaca through all the hardships he faced to find his way home. Odysseus became a war Hero of the Trojan War after he leads the attack with the famous Trojan Horse. So, not only must he bring himself home, but his many ships filled with his loyal warriors. Artist Johann Heinrich Tischbein uses the myth of Penelope and Odysseus to show that people can raise tension between others that they know and love,
Greek mythology can be viewed as a mirror to the ancient Greek civilization. Ancient Greek myths and legends often reflected how the Greeks saw themselves. Myths were used by Greeks to make justifications of every existing aspect of earth as well as their own society. In myths, Greek gods & heroes often represented key aspects of the human civilization. From Greek mythology, we can learn about the favorable characteristics of humans, such as their behavior and valuable skills that were approved of by the ancient Greek society.
All people tell stories to explain their world. The stories I remember included witchcraft and voodoo. In depth, the Greeks told about gods and superpowers in myths. They used these to explain how their world functions. Let me give you three examples.

The Odyssey, written by Homer, is an epic telling the story of Odysseus’s adventures back to Ithaca. Similar to The Odyssey, a literary myth is a legendary story about a hero that was passed down for many years. The tale of the hero Odysseus meets several of the criteria of a literary myth. The Odyssey is a literary myth because it tells the tale of a hero.
My favorite myth is the story of the beautiful and infamous goddess Persephone. This myth shows that everything that happens isn’t always fair. This myth originally what got me interested in Mythology. Not just Greek, but Roman and Egyptian too. This is the most interesting myth in Greek mythology, in my opinion.
Mythology is the belief if many different gods in different cultures. Many Monotheistic religions take the personalities of all the gods and combine them for there one god. Mythology is used to describe why certain events happen in the world. The time period for mythology is the 8th century BC. Normally it is regarded as coming to an end, in 146 BC(Ancient Greek Civilization).The Cyclops is an important creature in mythology for they built the weapons for the gods in the great war.
In Harrop and Wiles journal article they argue that there is implicit performance actions suggested within the written body of a translated text. Beyond the general literary focus on the language or “lexis” of ancient Greek tragedies there is also said to be “schemata” or gesture present and able to be read between the lines of the written word (Harrop and Wiles 51). It is Aristotle’s concepts of “lexis” and “schemata” in playwriting, which the authors suggest should also remain “indiseverable” from each other in the translation of such plays (51). The authors suggest that it is “the role of the modern translator”(63) to decode the implicit physical performance actions within the original text beyond a “linguistic level”(51).
The word "myth" means a fiction or a lie. Some myths are total fictions. Though the word can have powerful influence on a society, they can also exploit facts, which limits certain things such a theory wise. Well how does myth affect us?
