My current goal is to finish getting my AA in arts at Green River. I will be done summer quarter 2017. From there I plan on going to Western or University of Washington to get my degree in Communications with a minor in business. My passion has always been public relations and I am so excited to continue that passion and get a degree towards something I love. Someone once told me “if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life” and that is something I truly want to do and work towards. I have started working towards my communication major already by talking “Into to mass media” at Green River which is one of the required classes at Western and UW. These helped me get an idea of what I will be doing in my career and helped me learn background information to get my major. Taking that class is what lead me to falling in love with communications and ultimately, led to my decision of getting my major in communications. I believe that getting an education with improve my life as I will have something to be proud of and something to show for all my hard work. The tenderloin is the most populated homeless area in Washington with 10 homeless people per block. This mission trip had an impact on me as I got very close with the homeless and their drive to make their situation better. The ones I met, were so driven to get out and start over. We helped them create resumes to get a job, and that was just the start. This is also a field in the communications, where I can help people get a new start. This mission trip showed me that, I love helping those in need. It’s a great feeling and even a greater feeling when you see them reach their goals. Its
