SMU provides opportunities for students to participate in research. I am thrilled at the prospect of conducting research with the mentorship of a faculty professor or getting involved in research within the engaged learning initiative. Ongoing research by SMU professors of biology relating to cancer and gene expression is interesting, and particularly exciting to me because I want to pursue a career in medicine. In addition, SMU is located in the Dallas where I live.
There are many things at Ole Miss that I want to experience while attending Ole Miss. My main goal is to exceed in my studies of the mind, understand my profession to its maximum and to broaden my perscpetive on the human mind. I want to do all three of those the most because I see these options as the most potential choice to help me understand my major. Rather than just understanding the mind I want to be able to understand and see it differently than I ever have before.
As I think of the University of Mississippi, the aspect that most impresses me, and is an addition to my desire to immerse myself in this prominent learning community is the University's outstanding resources. I am very attracted to the opportunity to explore and learn at the University of Mississippi's science departments. Science has been my academic passion ever since I entered middle school. Since then, I have always wanted to get into the medical field to become a neurologist. I believe the brain is a black box with endless mysteries waiting to be explored.
I believe I would be a great fit for Millsaps University because of my academic grades, ability to think in different environments, being able to give back to the community, understanding Millsaps values and building my future career at Millsaps University. I have chosen to apply to Covenant College because I seek a deeper relationship with the Lord that transcends into every area of my life, and I believe that I can facilitate that growth with the Christ-centered curriculum and community Covenant has to offer. I see the importance of being a witness to Christ at a secular university, but during my college education I want to better equip myself to proclaiming Christ in my profession and day-to-day living. Throughout the next formative years of my life, it is important to me to surround myself with young people who serve the Lord. Encouraged by conversations with my admissions counselor and information on the website, I believe I will easily mesh into the dynamic that exists at Covenant and cultivate lasting relationships. In addition, I tremendously value access to nature.
All of the Pennsylvania job advertisements require a Master’s of Library Science, which I will qualify for in about two years. Nevertheless, my undergrad was completed at Waynesburg University with a Bachelor’s degree in History and International Studies of Culture in May of 2014. While attending Waynesburg University, I was first introduced to the option of creating a library career. I began my career similar to most undergrad students by applying for the work-study program in the university’s library.
I would classify my family as middle class so money is definitely an issue when thinking about college. I have a decent amount of money in the bank saved up for college from my grandparents. My parents and grandparents will contribute by helping pay for my college, and I will be working a job while in college. The price of tuition is a huge deal!

Since setting foot on campus two years ago, University of Chicago has been a beacon of inspiration to me. Every aspect, from the flexible, stellar academics to the extensive research opportunities to its proximity to Chicago matches the setting in which I hope to immerse myself in over the next four years. University of Chicago is known as the Life of the Mind, a wonderful reputation. Its unofficial yet infamous motto, “where fun goes to die”, is just as endearing as its true motto, “Crescat scientia; vita excolatur.” I know I will always be searching, reaching, and still feeling content knowing I will never grasp all knowledge.
“The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision ‘’(Helen Killer) .As a child that had faced adversity , I always had the mindset and determination that I was going be greater than my past and current situations. During my adolescent’s years I had lived in an unstable environment. My mother had been mentally and financially unstable for as long as I can remember. My mother and grandmother were both users of crack cocaine.

I plan to pursue a degree in business with a focus in sustainability.
My time at Texas A&M University has been one of the most demanding, yet most rewarding time of my life yet. Having been born in rural Mexico, it never crossed my mind that one day I would be on my way to becoming a professional, even less that I would be obtaining a degree in Aerospace Engineering. My grandfather, who did not have a formal education, worked as a laborer and would earn the equivalent of $8 or less per day. As a kid, I always imagined that I would become a worker like him, but I never saw it as a bad thing. Although uneducated, my grandfather taught me about work ethic, told me to do my best at any job, and to finish what I start.

More importantly, U of M’s distinguished Business and Computer Science programs will provide me with the necessary tools to develop real world expertise in FinTech, and a large network of similarly motivated classmates to team up with, to make my dream a reality. I choose University of Michigan as my primary college destination because of the educational opportunity offered by the School of Information. Utilizing the model of management information system, I hope to pursue my career in technology centric business, particularly that of FinTech.
