Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) has influenced me in many ways. First, it was the school's amazing nursing program. The school of nursing was established in 1953 and it awards undergraduates the bachelor of science degree. WSSU’s nursing program was ranked number 3 in the nation, and is continuing to grow and enhance the program. I have been given the chance to get into the nursing program, with the help from the Guaranteed Admission Program (GAP).
Immediately after graduating from Riverdale High School in 2009, I started my undergraduate career at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). Upon entrance to MTSU, I believed that my career path was in the field of pharmacy. I envisioned graduating from MTSU after only four years and would be directly on to pharmacy school thereafter. Towards the middle of the first semester, I quickly realized that this would not be the career path for me. I cut back on my course load and worked diligently to finish the semester.
I began my education at Stephen F. Austin State University, which was founded as a teacher’s college in 1923. That is why I chose SFASU because I wanted to teach children, plus I wanted to concentrate on teaching them to read. I received my B.S. in Elementary Education and Generic Special Education in 1985. I concentrated on working with the at-risk population and began my journey as an educator in January 1986. I quickly realized that I had a thirst for knowledge and set a goal to continue my education until one day I would receive my doctorate in education.
As a prospective member of the Masters of Arts in History program at Liberty University I hope to accomplish several things. I am currently serving as a high school history teacher and this program will benefit both my students and myself alike in the foreseeable future. This includes reaching the goals of earning my master’s degree which will result in a higher level of professional knowledge in my content area, while increasing my income simultaneously. This is not the only positive factor, Liberty’s program will also contribute directly to growth in regards to my relationship with Jesus Christ.
I am interested in Howard University because it is an HBCU that encompass the themes of cultural diversity and education. Your commitment to scholars ensures me that at your school I will be right at home. Since I intend on on going down a medical path, I know that Howard University will provide me with best resources to follow my dreams. As a child I was always interested in the worlds around me and how things worked. As a result I participated in a Summer Enrichment Program located at Indiana University in Bloomington.
As I think of the University of Mississippi, the aspect that most impresses me, and is an addition to my desire to immerse myself in this prominent learning community is the University's outstanding resources. I am very attracted to the opportunity to explore and learn at the University of Mississippi's science departments. Science has been my academic passion ever since I entered middle school. Since then, I have always wanted to get into the medical field to become a neurologist. I believe the brain is a black box with endless mysteries waiting to be explored.
As a result, I chose to double major in Biomedical Science and Global Health. I know these majors will prepare me for a career in the medical field. I hope to continue to thrive at ASU in these programs. As an undergraduate at ASU, I hope to continue doing meaningful research.
The majority of my life has been spent placing critical life events and accomplishments onto a timeline. For instance, it has been twenty-one years since I first wrapped my teddy bears in bandages and diagnosed their illnesses. It has been eleven years since I decided to become a nurse. It has been seven years since I was first admitted to Texas A&M University and struggled with the pressures of doing well in college while balancing a personal and family life. It has been almost three years since I last stepped foot on Texas A&M soil.
I expect my college experience to equip me with knowledge and skills on how to become an effective and influential elementary school teacher and I know that ACU has a successful education program that will provide me with internships, classroom experience, and courses that will teach me how to impact and educate even the most challenging students in a classroom. Furthermore, since I will be away from my church back in Dallas if I'm accepted into ACU, I expect to maintain a stronghold of my faith even while I'm far from home. God is the center of my life and I want to grow even closer to Him and others who love Him like I do, that is why I'm applying to ACU where teachers and classmates value their relationships with God and can help me sustain
The University of Miami offers many selective majors and minors for students. I am eager to start a new chapter and gain many opportunities, and experiences with a high-level education from the University of Miami. The reason I want to transfer to the University is because it’s time for me to move on to a bigger environment. Furthermore, I would like to participate in the most honorable athletic programs in the country. I believe the culture at Miami would be a good fit for me because of the diverse student body on campus.
I have picked the field of Nursing since I have for a long while been motivated and willing to help individuals throughout my life. I additionally cherish taking in the advancement of how Babies and grown-ups change after some time. I will likely transfer to Midwestern University (MSU) after the following two years when I get my Associates of Arts at TCC, yet I might want to remain at Midwestern University and get my Bachelors in Science. My long-haul objective inside the following ten years is to have a steady occupation with my very own center being a birthing specialist.
The most significant contributions that I have made to Mount St. Ursula would have to be my involvement in the school. I am a well rounded individual from student athlete to much more. I engage in extra curricular activities in school and maintain good grades. This is something that sets me apart from the rest of my class because I manage keep up with all my vigorous classes while being involved and not many can do that. Also something that not many can they say they have done but I can is the fact that I have taken every AP class the school has offered in my years being there.
For years, I have dreamed of pursuing a career in psychology and living in Amsterdam. The exploration of the human mind and how it can be manipulated and the vibrant culture of the Netherlands capital are fascinating. VCU will help me obtain that dream. When I attended a VCU open house, I had every intention to major in psychology; however, I was instantly drawn to a mass communications major, advertising. It's a psychology based major that merges with creativity.
Through the various research I have done on numerous amounts of universities on the Internet as well as through the alumni of some, NYU stood out to me the most. Hailing from the same city as NYU, where we respect the value of diversity, this institute will provide an environment in which I am familiar with, allowing me to comfortably learn and participate in. Since the beginning of my existence, I have been surrounded by technology. From the computer my mother’s doctor used in the delivery room to the computer I am currently using, the magic that happens behind those LCD screens has fascinated me.
