Juliet’s grief over Romeo’s banishment was like rain pouring down from the sky. Mr. Beale’s class performance showed a more dramatic contrast of emotions, while the 2013 movie version of Act III Scene 2 didn’t show any. In Act III Scene 2 class performance, Juliet played by Cindy Zheng walked across the stage with full excitement over her marriage with Romeo and her anticipation for their wedding night. The Nurse played by Sydney Wyatt walks out feeling devastated with sadness because Juliet’s cousin Tybalt is dead. Juliet, who was just pumped for the wedding night, slowly starts to get worried and afraid that something has happened to Romeo. Since the Nurse is too dumb to realize, she led her to believe that Romeo’s dead. The Nurse bring it to her straight told her that it’s Tybalt whose dead killed by Romeo, and who is now exile from Verona. Juliet begins to feel more devastated over Romeo’s banishment than Tybalt’s death. The Nurse tells Juliet that she will find Romeo and tell him to come to her for their wedding night. Yet, the 2013 movie version of Romeo and Juliet only showed Juliet’s grief over Romeo’s banishment. In Beale’s class performance, after the Nurse said “Will you speak well of the man who kill’d your cousin?” (180). Juliet begins to express how she feels about Romeo’s banishment. She starts to walk away from the Nurse and pace back and forth. Juliet is filled with sadness as she speak that Romeo’s banishment is the same thing as saying father, mother, Tybalt, Romeo and herself all dead. Letting audiences in Mr.Beale’s classroom face drop to the ground, gasping on how doubtful Juliet must be to express how she felt about her husband’s banishment.
