Good morning to the board of Universal Studios, my purpose of this speech is to talk about the never seen before appropriation of the fight scene in Act 3 Scene 1 from Shakespeare's version of Romeo and Juliet , and also to persuade why my appropriation is suitable to the modern audience. Each character of Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet has been taken and recreated to suit the context of my appropriation .In Shakespeare's version of Romeo and Juliet Act 3 Scene 1 , Tybalt want to fight Romeo but Romeo refuses out of love for Juliet. Mercutio fights in Romeo place and was killed. Realising his cowardice Romeo fight Tybalt and kills him.
Romeo and Juliet have fate against each other. Its said hat their love is “death marked.” Romeo and Juliet can’t control what going to happen as they go alone with this. For starters they’re in different groups, so they don’t know how their groups is going to react. It is their misfortune that leads to a terrible at the end.

In the play an important event is when Tybalt kills Mercutio and it reveals the strong friendship between Mercutio and Romeo. This is an important event since before the Capulets and Montagues met, Benvolio and Mercutio were just hanging out, and Romeo was very happy since he had just married Juliet. Secondly this is an important event as it shows Tybalt has a very strong hatred for the Montagues and seeked revenge on Romeo and the other Montagues for coming to the Capulet's feast. The scene could have went a different way with a different outcome, but instead there was an element of choice that led to Mercutio’s death. A key point in the chapter was when Tybalt insulted Romeo by saying, “thou art a villain” (II.i.63). When Shakespeare uses insults, people expect a retaliation attack or insult, but Romeo didn’t say anything. Tybalt knew what he said would trigger either Romeo or Mercutio and would ultimately cause a fight. What Tybalt said should’ve triggered Romeo to fight him, but instead he backed down which forced Mercutio to step up and defend Romeo.
Juliet 's apparent death reveals the reactions and true emotions that her parents, The nurse and Paris felt towards her. Act 4 scene 5 starts with a humorous and eager tone but suddenly switches to a more sorrowful and sad tone as soon as the nurse discovers Juliet’s pale dead body. They were shocked and upset because it meant to be juliet 's wedding night. Their attitude and reaction shows us the importance of Juliet in their lives. Their relationships with Juliet in the past have an impact on the way they reacted.
In act five Romeo’s servant tells Romeo that Juliet is dead and because he had not heard any news for the Friar he believes this. The then goes and buys a poison that will kill him. He then leaves for Verona while Friar Laurence learns that his letter to Romeo was never delivered. When Romeo arrives at the tomb Paris is decorating the tomb with flowers and then Romeo and Paris fight. Romeo ends up killing Paris and he places him in the tomb as he requested.
Through the predominant influences of certain characters, inconsistency of decision making, and secretiveness amongst the characters, these events quickly lead to the grievous incident of the play. All the way from past hatred and persuasive friends, to emotionally driven decisions such as Romeo’s desire to be married and his vengeance, the play concluded with potions that provoked counter outcomes. Romeo and Juliet displayed the risks they were willing to take in the name of love, but in the end, poor choices took responsibility for the continuous occurrences that lead to dreadful ends; however, opposed to the idea of fate, or a stronger force guiding the character’s actions. With this, the play closed with the poisonous idea of the love that Romeo and Juliet shared, including all that they would sacrifice to have a chance at a life

By far, the very best part of this whole book is that Juliet finally gets her happy ending. She falls in love with the only son of the enemy family, almost forced into an arranged marriage and kills herself rather than face a moment of the life her family has planned for her. In this version of their story, she doesn't end up with Romeo, she finds that after everything she has been through, she is happier with a modern teen boy named Ben, who reminds her of Romeo's cousin Benvolio.
