I stand here to today, with deep sorrow and remorse for the ones we have lost. I stand here today with my head hung in shame for what this so called “great” nation of America has become. 2 days ago, only 2 days ago our daughters and sons have lost their lives to the devil looking down upon us, to the devil of gun violence. Only two days ago, I lost my daughter Chloe and my son Timmy to gun violence. October 1st, 2015 will be a day written down in history as just “another” school shooting. Just another couple of kids, teenagers, sons, daughters taken by gun violence. 30 000 people die every year due to gun violence from gangs, murder, mass shootings, school shootings and domestic violence. 30 000 people who have the rest of their lives stripped away from them from a single bullet. A large majority of all people in these statistics are children. Executed from school shootings, just like the one that happened 2 days ago.
