Jackie Robinson was the first African American player in the MLB (Major League Baseball.) Jackie Robinson was born on January 31, 1919. In the early 1940´s Robinson met nurse-in-training Rachel Isum Robinson, while they were both attending the University of California. Robinson fought very hard to play on an all white MLB team called the Brooklyn Dodgers and eventually made it in 1947. Jackie Robinson was an amazing baseball player with a batting average of .311, 137 homeruns, 197 stolen bases, and .409 on base percentage!

Ralph Dale Earnhardt I chose Ralph Dale Earnhardt, a famous NASCAR racer who won 7 Winston cups for my research. He was born on April 29th, 1951, in a town called Kannapolis, North Carolina. He sadly died doing what he loved on the Daytona race track at the age of 49 on February 18, 2001. I chose him because I loved to watch his aggressive racing style on video clips.
Charles Edward Anderson Berry also known as Chuck Berry was born October 18th, 1926 and passed away in March 18th, 2017. He was an American musician, songwriter, and singer who helped pioneer rock and roll. He was also very good at incorporating rhythm and blues into rock and roll which is what made him stand out from other rock and roll artists. Chuck had always had an interest in music and did his first performance in public at Summer High School. While in high school Chuck was not a perfect guy and committed a crime that would end up letting him serve three years at reformatory.

Even though George Jones had many struggles in his childhood and career, he still managed to inspire many people by proving tragedies can’t ruin futures. George Jones had a very tough childhood and most of it had to do with his parents. Jones's father was very abusive, and his father got drunk consistently; Jones would have to perform for him in the middle of the night. When the Jones family bought a radio, George got even more fascinated with music.
Motown Records was founded by Berry Gordy in Detroit, Michigan. Detroit was the motor city and that is where “Motown” Records came from. Berry Gordy used $800 from money he scraped up from his family members to make this possible. Motown Records was an R&B record label that became hit. He mainly signed African-American singers and he would shape them up in a way that they would be accepted by the white audience.
Jazz is most often thought to have been started in the 1920s as this explosive movement, but that is in fact not the case.
