Hannibal Lecter is argumentatively the most successful serial killer in the fictional world. Which raises questions of how he mastered the art of crime. Some people would say it’s unrealistic of how effective his crimes were. I believe that in, The Silence of the Lambs, the director, Jonathan Demme, drew attention to the flaws of mankind and real life serial killers by creating such a triumphant character such as Hannibal Lecter. Hannibal felt no remorse, that we saw, he was extremely intelligent, he kept his composure during taxing times, and he ate the evidence of his morbid crimes.
Typically, serial killers get caught because, they are consumed with guilt, they are repetitive when it comes with how they kill, and where they kill. Lecter
