In fact, the average price of a car in the early 1900s was around $850 - a crazy amount of money for most people at the time. However, all of that changed thanks to the Assembly Line, which revolutionized the way cars were manufactured. The Assembly Line made it possible for cars to be produced more quickly and efficiently, which brought down the cost of production dramatically.
