Hera Have you ever been on a sports team and worked really hard for something? While you were working for it, you Coach gave the spot to somebody else, and you think you deserve it more than them. You would feel pretty vengeful towards that person; wouldn’t you? If you have, then you relate a lot to the Greek goddess, Hera. She is the goddess of marriage. Hera is a vengeful person, but is considered the protector of women. Also, she is known as Juno. Hera is a goddess with an interesting family history, a unique marriage, and revengeful jealousy. Hera was known for marrying her brother, Zeus. Before that, she had to be born. She was born from Cronos and Rhea. In the family, there were four girls and two guys. The kids included Poseidon, Hades, Hestia, Demeter, Hera, and Zeus. Cronus, the dad, was told that one of his children was bound to overthrow him. After he found that out, he swallowed 5 of his children. Zeus ended up being the one to overthrow him, and Cronus threw up all of the children; they were unharmed.
