Hercules the greek hero's endeavours have been rewritten time and time again. Hercules has made a wrong, he is trying to make it right and find peace and serenity within himself again. Hercules’ quest,fear,dragon,task,and virtue have differed depending on what story has been written about him. The contrast between a myth of hercules and a movie of hercules is fairly different about his personality.

The hercules’ myths archetype is one of doing whatever possible and whatever he needs to do to accomplish the twelve tasks to help him find peace, his archetype for the myth is warrior. His quest is to find peace and serenity within himself for being involuntarily taken over with sudden rage and murdering his wife and children at the beginning of …show more content…

The quest for this version of hercules is to find a woman that he truly loves, he had her at the beginning and then found her at the end of the movie for it was Meg. His fear is Meg dying when he has realized that Hades has full control with her sense she made a deal with him. But his dragon is also Meg because she made a deal with hades that if she helps Hades get hercules Hades with give meg her freedom back. Hercules task is that he must being willing to do anything in order to save the girl he loves and that includes sacrificing himself in order to do so, and he is willing to do that. His virtue is that he has passion for this girl and he shows his love and commitment to her by willingly sacrificing himself by diving into the lake of the dead in the underworld and pulling meg's soul out of it not knowing if he would be killed or not. These make hercules very different in the myth and in the movie.

This is pooling together and comparing the differences between two different types of hercules stories with each other. Hercules as a person and as a hero have been written many ways, these are two forms in which it has been written .These stories tell that he is a very mighty person, he is but he also has flaws as everyone did and it tells how he dealt with them and fixed them to find what he was
