Hi Reneld, On Thursday, June 8th, I had talked to an advisor about schedule revision. She said that I do not need to revise my schedules, since there was a mistake with my program completion; that I am working on Associate of Arts Degree instead of AS2 degree. She said she already notified you about this. Have you received this notification?
Do you remember in kindergarten when the teacher would ask the class what they wanted to be when they grew up? The answers usually consisted of firemen, doctors, princesses, cowboys, or an astronaut. Then there was always the teacher’s pet who of course said they wanted to be a teacher (typical). Well college is a lot like kindergarten. Your advisor asks you,” what do you want to do with your life after college”, but this time the answers don’t come as easily.
I could not take it anymore. My choices were to either pick up the phone or do something I could never take back. I picked up the phone and dialed the number of The Trevor Project lifeline, it was time for me to help myself. “Hello, Trevor Lifeline.” “Hi,” I said.
Hi Victor, I agree with you that taking action in some cases will cause you pain. A few years back I was about 30 lbs over wieght from a very larthigic lifestyle. Then I joined the gym and tried to start spin class but I was continually postponing classes. One day I was giving my son a lot of excuses as to why I was putting off classes, he looked at me and said "Don 't think about it Dad just do it, no matter what just do it".
There wasn’t anything special about today or any day really. If you know anything about me, Peyton Otto, you know I basically live in my room doing some type of homework or project. My best friend, Valerie Scott, always thinks I’m insane for doing work on the weekend instead of taking a break from school. She may be my one of my closest friend, my only friend to be exact, but I feel that she doesn’t understand me. The thing is, we are total opposites, but yet we are really good friends, like they say, “Opposites attract.”
As a child I always desired to study math and science. There is just something about solving problems, and finding solutions that catches my attention. Learning about the world, and how it function is very interesting to me. These subjects have help keep me wondering what I could learn next, and the reason being that I am a scholar in my classes. One accomplishment that I am proud of is being on the A&B honor roll.
Since my desired major is in the medical field, Radiology, which is a practice that will continue to be used in the future, I’m confident in obtaining a job in that field of study when I graduate from college. With more jobs available for me, I will have the chance to choose which one that will benefit me most in the long run. I will be able to determine where I would like to live and work due to the demand of my career choices. Being a college graduate will help seeking employment less burdensome, due to the number of jobs available to me.
This degree also has an increase at a rate fast then all other occupation and helps you have a solid outlook. One of the things I feel I will have to work on before I graduate will be to being in a strong, healthy and leadership role. It will get some use to being in this role but I know I will do it to my best ability. Some of the skills and behavior traits I feel would be administration, management, law, economics and policies and to learn how to obtain them very well to my best
Hi Yasmine! As bad as it sounds, sometimes I do find myself straying away from conversations with my friends. I feel really bad, but somehow I just naturally go towards another direction and start getting distracted. I bet it was really hard for you to do that to your friend because from the other person 's perspective, she would feel really disrespected. Good thing you told her it was an experiment because she probably would have been mad at you for being so rude to her.
When I complete all of my schoolings I would like to become a behavioral disorder counselor. This career is for me because I love helping people, I want to help people better understand themselves so they can overcome their problems, and the human brain and the thought process has always been a huge interest to me. Is has always been a goal in my life to be somewhere in the healthcare field working, and this is the area that intrigues me and always keeps me interested. As of right now, my future plans are to finish high school, graduate college with a doctorate in behavioral psychology, and then further on to work as a counselor in a private practice.
I believe in an alternate life I would have strived to become a doctor or a chiropractor or something fun with the human body. Honestly, I just wanted to study science and discover about the natural world, or be able to diagnose myself. That all was fine and dandy, but somewhere along the way of my baseball clock winding down, and the realization that a business degree was something I never really wanted, or honestly really even needed, I knew something needed to change. The fall of 2014 was my last semester as a baseball player and was my inoculation into a scientific interest that would carry me into
1. Hi guys, my name is Cherrie Putrinuto and I have been in GRC since Fall 2015, and this is will be my last quarter in GRC. My plan after I get my AA degree in GRC, I will transfer to Arizona State University to pursue my career in accounting. Therefore, I would say the major that I am interest is accounting because I think I can do well in this course.
After a lot of soul searching, I decided that I was going to start studying psychology so that I could help people and make a difference in someone's
I spent a year working towards this degree and eventually decided that I should be honest with myself. If I wanted to live up to the example my parents set and love what I do, I had to be honest with myself and pursue what it is I felt I was meant to do. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family and am still thankful to this day that I followed my heart and my gut instinct. My undergraduate studies at Kent State helped me significantly in my decision pursuing a career in school counseling.
I was immersed in a disappointment, and feelings of helplessness throughout the freshman year. Fortunately, the second degree option rekindled my extinct passion. Without hesitation, I chose Business Administration as my second major, which was the only option offered by Economic and Management College. Accounting Principles was the first subject that enabled me to gain insights into Accounting, the deeper I got myself involved in this subject, the more I found it fascinating. Also, I have taken inspiration from my internship experience.
