The title of the book that I chose is Hidden by Helen Frost and it is a realistic fiction book. The story takes place at a camp in Michigan and the story happens in present time. A girl named Wren gets kidnapped in her mother’s car and she gets trapped in the garage. The person who kidnapped her’s daughter knows that she is hiding in the garage and she helps feed her and keep her warm. Then the girl gets out and years later they meet again at summer camp. The protagonist of the story would be Wren. She is fourteen years old and is very bubbly and always in the spirit to have a good time. She looks like an average person, normal height and their is nothing really special about her. The antagonist of the story would be Darra. Wren hears gunshots from inside and then a guy gets into her car and starts driving away. She knows that she can not move or he will find out she was in the car. She gets to the house and the car gets put into the garage. She knows that if she stays in the car she will get found, so she gets into a boat that was in the garage. By this point everyone is searching high and low for Wren. She is lying in the boat tired, hungry, and thirsty and also has no clue where she is. Darra has realized that she is in the garage by watching tv to know she was missing and hearing her in the garage. She put a sweatshirt and a sandwich for Wren to eat. Darra also told her that she had a plan to get out, but that night she snuck out of the garage through the cat door. Some people found her on the side of the street and brought her to her family. The mood of the story at this time suspenseful because you don’t know what is going to happen next and you can’t stop reading. It states in the book, “
