“Sleep is the golden chain that ties health and our bodies together,” said Thomas Dekker. Sleep is a major part of people’s lives, it is an active period in which a lot of important processing, restoration, and strengthening occurs, and without it humans can not function. High school is a very stressful time in teens lives, with friends, keeping up with grades, and after school activities getting enough sleep is very hard. Which is why high school should start at a later time. Although parents would complain about students getting home at a later time, high school should start an hour later, because more sleep helps students get better grades and have overall better health.
Sleep affects how we look, feel and perform on a daily basis, and can have a major impact on our overall quality of life.
