Highschool are your original building blocks to prepare for what college will be like, for the most part. It’s a tremendous jump but in a way, nothing really changed at all. It all starts a little scary and nerve racking, but it takes some practice. Your freshman year in highschool is going to be a little similar to your freshman year in college. Sure you’re a little older but you’re starting something new without knowing many people. The biggest difference is the amount of pressure on you. Highschool was definitely scary at first. Now college, that is your second big step in your life. You will feel that same nervous feeling going into your first year of college as you did going into your first year of highschool. You won’t know anyone, the curriculum will be different, and the instructors will have different teaching styles. For both, as you take more classes and spend more time at school, you become more comfortable and more experienced. Unlike highschool, college brings a whole new level of life into the mix. Now you’re an adult and you have more responsibilities. Some people will already have jobs in highschool, but for some of the people who didn’t, they will also be facing some more pressure with that. College will bring a lot more pressure, not saying highschool isn’t important, but a lot more is lying on you through college.
