Highschool times is one of the most strenuous and hormone driven times for every teen. Every experience is priceless from turning in tests that are weighted to making good friends that become the quality of your highschool experience to dealing with teachers that you never were able to connect with. It is a time that shapes you into a mold that you will have for the rest of your life. So to my former self, make good choices and roll with the punches that high school brings you. Studying could have gotten many of your B’s into A’s if you were more committed to studying and you would have been there. For example your freshman summer reading, read ahead of time instead of cramming in into the last few weeks of break. Preparation would have easily made the reading a pleasure instead of the torture that you made it into. But don’t worry keep working and improving yourself you eventually got over this problem when you started seeing life more clearly early in high school. The answer is probably both. Teachers that just aren’t that passionate about their teaching job will show up more often than not. Sure they were probably good years ago when they started their job at the school but especially your freshman math teacher, she is no good. You will eventually lose steam asking questions everyday even if she says that you can ask her anything and she will answer. I’ve been there and asked countless questions and there’s too much to ask her at the end of the period every day where you’re basically asking her to teach the whole lesson again because she left too many details that are crucial to your learning. And also she retires you Sophomore year which is another reason to suspect her underwhelming performance in the classroom so the textbook and personal tutors will be your friend whether you like it or not. So stick to being you and don’t change because the shape you’re already in can only get better as you mature and
