Abortion is one of the most controversial topics in 2016. Especially when you consider the different opinions our presidential candidates have. While there are many mixed opinions, a potential life is being taken away with abortion. There are options like birth control, safe sex, and adoption, but there are also cases of rape or health issues. While the focus is usually on the baby’s life, the effect on the woman’s life and parents looking to adopt should also be taken into consideration.
Abortion is defined as the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy. It is a very straight across definition, but it has no details. That being said; when is it okay to terminate a pregnancy and when is it considered too late term? In the United states, it is legal for a woman to get an abortion up until 24 weeks. Hillary Clinton is pro-choice, but also says that doesn’t mean she is pro-abortion. She believes that late term abortion should only be used in case of danger of the mother’s life and believes that the solution is targeting teens about safe sex. It seems as though Clinton wants to find a reasonable ground on abortion. Donald Trump said that he is “now pro-life; after years of being pro-choice” He said after seeing some issues surrounding abortion in his personal life, he changed his views.
