Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, the frontrunner candidates for the 2016 presidential election, have spent the last twenty plus years in the public eye. Clinton and Trump were both born in the late 1940s and both have called the state of New York home. Each have acquired large amounts of money for books authored in the past. They are both extremely wealthy and benefit from tax loopholes, by way of foundations and charities named after them. This is where many of their similarities end. Trump was born in New York in 1946. After graduating college, he took over the family business from his father and has sense amassed a large amount of wealth. Trump has been married three times and has 5 children. Donald Jr, Ivanka and Eric are all children of he and his first wife, Ivana. The marriage with Ivana split upon learning of Donald’s affair with Marla Maples. He later married Marla and they have a daughter, Tiffany. The marriage of Maples and Trump lasted only a few short years, and years after Donald Married a former model Melania Knauss and they have a son named Barron. Donald Trump is moderately conservative and running as a republican. Many people feel that he is not a true republican, and even he has stated that he knew he stood no chance if he ran as an independent. He claims to believe in lowering taxes, prolife initiatives, and keeping the second amendment intact. Some people do not appreciate his blunt and arrogant persona, yet others are drawn to him for it. Trump draws large crowds of supporters to his rallys who like that he says what he means, even if it is not politically correct. He believes America should follow the laws that are currently on the books and he wants to build a wall to prevent illegal immigration. Trump is not against immigration as some of his opponents claim. He believes America is a nation of laws and everyone that comes to America should love the country and follow its rules. Throughout the primaries, Donald Trump a number of controversies of his own arise such as his past bankruptcies, taxes, and treatment of women. During the primaries, he and Megyn Kelly were feuding over rude and sexist remarks he made toward her after a debate. They have reportedly since patched things up.
