This paper will explore the topic of hiring staff, the interview process, including establishing a schedule. The method of employing staff is crucial when it comes to patient care. Upon hiring a team, there is the interview process to explore the interviewee’s knowledge along with experience by a method of questions. As a nurse manager, knowing the census status of patients will help ensure that your facility staffed appropriately.

Questions asked during an interview can cause the interviewee to be uncomfortable due to not knowing how to answer them or just the lack of knowledge. Preparing for an interview is something that all new graduates must do before setting for his or her first. Some discussions are offered to help new graduates transition from school-to-work offered at many colleges. This is beneficial due to learning effective ways to respond to interview questions and to make the interview more of a natural process.
As a nurse, completing an interview for a position can be overwhelming and make the new nurse feel uncomfortable. Transcripts are considered an information-seeking mechanism between the inquiring employee for the job and the hiring manager (Sullivan, 2013). During the interview, the nursing manager asked questions based on the information that was previously collected to clarify all the information is either application or phone interview. The interviewee may challenge all the issues that are being asked by asking for a scenario. These scenarios will help them develop an appropriate response. Some ask questions that are more structured to help to stay on task during the interviews. Nurse managers usually follow an interview guide to ensure that all pertinent information is gathered from all applicants to make the decision easier to choose the new hire. Ensure that all questions are appropriate to answer. They are questions that are not appropriate such as questions that are discriminatory to the interviewee. The interviewer will gather the information to make an educated decision based on the responses from the
