America. The land of the free. Of the equal. This was not always a true statement. While America claimed that all people were equal, black men and women were working for white families all over the place.
Roosevelt is states “This nation has placed its destiny in the hands and heads and hearts of its millions of free men and women, and its faith in freedom under the guidance of God. Freedom means the supremacy of human rights everywhere.” The main reason people come to the Unites States is because they want an overall better life and want to full-fill their niche in life. We each have the freedom to go for opportunities that you want to achieve. This country is based on everyone 's perspective.
This country is great for many reason, despite its hardships. One of the many reasons is that we have freedom to chose, freedom of religion, and freedom of speech. We are also a melting pot for many different ethnicity. Being an American is about the freedom we here enjoy. We are full of different ethnicity and cultures.
Freedom is the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint. The foundation of America is freedom. Freedom from Britain. However, the freedom is limited to white males who own property. When colonists started to immigrate to America, they wanted to escape from under the rule of Britain.
As shown by the statement Americans can go against the ideals of anyone without being censored or be threatened by the government. We have more freedoms such as religion, Assembly, and freedom of petition with due said america is built on the rights of the people making Americans “Free”.
There are so many good things about being American but there are some downsigns. Being American isn 't always a good thing you also have your limits. Laws were created to keep America a good place.
Webster Dictionary defines freedom as a “political right”. To me, freedom is much more than that. Freedom gives me and the people of America the right to do anything we want; it allows us to be ourselves no matter where you come from, or who you are. Unfortunately, America has not always been this way; people of different races were treated like trash on the sidewalk. Frederick Douglass had a first-hand experience to this treatment, and he knew what it was like before America allowed everyone to actually be “free”.
The United States is known for being a free country and
America. The Land of The Free and The Home of the Brave. The country with the smartest and richest people. The greatest country in the world! At least so I thought it.
Freedom is the ability to love whomever we want, It is when you give without expecting a favor, It is the power to forgive when you've been mistaken, it is the capability to do right without being proud of it. To me Freedom is America, Freedom is the 13 horizontal stripes and the 50 stars waving in the wind, and finally Freedom is for everyone to be equal, yet different in his or her own way. Freedom to me is America, as simple as that. On July 4th, 1776 America gained freedom from Great Britain, for this is one of the most important dates in American history.
I believe that America as it is now is no longer the land of the free or the home of the brave. I was taught that the United States is the land of the free and the home of the brave, but I’m struggling to find any support for that statement. We live in a time where our so called president threatens the safety of other countries, and boasts about our military might via twitter. Even though I’ve not lived in this country for long, I have developed a certain sense of pride in it. The same pride that I felt every time I recited the pledge of allegiance in elementary school.
A question that most Americans ask is “Are we really free?’ and people respond with multiple different answers such as yes, no, and “we used to be”. This answer always varies on the type of person you ask because everyone has they different meaning of the word “Free”. Freedom means “not under the control or in the power of another”. Freedom was a gift given to America from the forefathers’ victory against the British.
Dear fellow nasty women and bad hombres, America is one the greatest experiments in freedom and liberty history has ever known. We are a nation that was built on the minds and ideals of immigrants. Our Founding Fathers created America so that everyone could have a chance at "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". Those are aspects of my country, I would never change because they are what make us unique. The glow of America casts a ripple of hope upon those who struggle.
We can’t protest against the rules that determined by the community. For example, smoking is a right, but you can’t smoke in a shopping mall. We hear other people’s requests and needs. Yes, a person’s freedom ends where someone else’s rights
In 1787, our founding father’s agreed to write a list of principals for keeping people free. Freedom must be limited. People can not just say they are free. You can not just kill or violate just for freedom. There should be respect for people’s wants and needs.
