Honkamp Krueger has provided intern’s useful information as well as experiences to be successful at any potential business career path that may come in the near future. These first hand situations and life lessons have also expanded knowledge of particular classes taken at the University of Wisconsin Platteville. This could simply mean by learning from the experiences and linking them with concepts learned from classes such as financial accounting, corporate finance, and leadership and management. These concepts and experiences learned have been used throughout the internship, will then be taken to grow individually as a businessperson and will be used in the upcoming future. In classes such a leadership and management, the concept of understanding how leading, communication, and motivation go into the role of successful management was thoroughly examined. This means that understanding each employee differently to find the balance between teaching the employee, communicating effectively, and finishing with motivating the employee to better him or her. In this particular class, the topics was focused on providing students the importance on continuing to improve each employee, as managements main mission is to better each individual which essentially improves the company as a whole. This is important because if management doesn’t correct what the employee incorrectly performed, then those same trends would continue which eventually leads to a major concern for the company. Management has to ensure this mistake won’t happen again, by effectively communicating with what went wrong, they must then finish the conversation with the employee leaving and feeling motivated to create positive outcomes. These are significant steps to enforce, as the employee must not feel as they have been attacked, but rather leaving the meeting with the feeling of need for improvement that results in better future
