The National Honor Society (NHS) stands by such values as Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and character; it is these values that I strive to live by. I have received the opportunity to become a proud member of the NHS, and have been humbled by this chance. Throughout my high school career I try to be involved in anything I can help the school, from being a part of community service activities. Also, I have achieved my goal to work as hard as I possibly can to stand out among my peers. Even outside of school I have worked to uphold the values of club, and shall continue to do so if I chosen.
National Honor Society is an organization that gives unrecognized students who are talented a chance to show their achievements. I see this program being very helpful to students, including myself, because it highlights our academic and personal accomplishments and provides many opportunities to those who deserve them. I believe the National Honor Society program represents outstanding high school students to colleges in hopes for them to forward their education and become successful. This would be useful to those who cannot afford to enroll in prestigious schools or organizations.
I am deeply honored to be given the opportunity to join the National Honor Society and be among some of the most exceptional students in our school. Being given this opportunity shows my family and myself that I’ve truly worked as hard as I can to succeed. Growing up around adults with a good work ethic has taught me to see the reality in life. Working hard will help create a better future. I not only work hard in my classes but I also participate in sports which gives me the experience of being a leader.
From an early age I have always been interested in joining High Honor Society . Mainly because this group makes my rasamay look better for me to be able to get into a good college. But my reason for joining isn't just for a chance to get into a good college but also to improve my leadership skills, service skills, my character , and finally my future. National Honor Society requires hard work in both academics and community involvement. It has helped me to not only place academics as a priority, but also to prioritize being involved in the environment around me. I have always been very involved in my community because the church that I have been a member of since birth has always promoted putting others before myself. I have gone on multiple mission trips with my church that have completely changed my view of the world. Those mission trips have and continue to help me to see what I have and what I am capable of doing.
Being accepted into the National Honor Society has been a goal of mine since I learned what National Honor Society was and how only students who embody the four cornerstones of NHS which are scholarship, leadership, service, and character are accepted to be members. It is very hard to find students who have good character, demonstrate scholarship, are great leaders, and who are willing to do service for their community, and that is why I believe I am a great fit for membership in the National Honor Society because I embody all four cornerstones. The first cornerstone of the National Honor Society, scholarship, is demonstrating that you want to excel in any assignment you’re completing which is something I always do for all of my assignments
National Honor Society is a great opportunity for everyone including myself. It has standards such as scholarship, leadership, character, and service. To maintain the standards I already have most of the standards I am a smart student with a 4.0 GPA, I have great leadership and character. The only thing missing is service. I do, do service but not as much.
I make it my obligation to signify the four pillars of National Honor Society everywhere I go. I know that I am evaluated on my character and abilities in and out of school. That makes me responsible to represent not only SHDHS, but my family, my clubs, and my sports
Walking into class you instantly spot the big blue words “POP QUIZ TODAY!” In this situation, students often have to make a decision such as “Do I cheat or am I ready?” or “What if my best friend does not know the answer to a question? Do I give her the answer?” Cheating is an issue that many schools have but how do they deal with this issue?
I think that by being responsible, well organized, respectful, and punctual, I can achieve my goals for this society. The Spanish Honor Society can benefit me by carving a new path of responsibility that can help me have a more propitious future. I feel that it is paramount to respect my peers and my leaders. Respect is something that I value a lot and always have.
“Many high school, colleges, and universities have honor codes or honor systems: sets of rules or principles that are intended to cultivate integrity “. My school, Rockville HIgh School, should maintain honor code or honor system to prevent plagiarism. This allows a “ healthy academic environment”, where you can feel safe and relieved knowing that no one will copy your answers and use it to get credit. Many students in our school don’t even know honor codes exist and is placed in this school to avoid academic dishonesty. Even if this school strictly establish honor code, high school students still find a way to cheat.
National Junior Honor Society The five standard qualities of the National Junior Honor Society are character, scholarship, leadership, service, and citizenship. This is what the five qualities of the Society mean to me and how I show them. A positive character shows honesty, caring, trustworthiness and generosity. I tell the truth even when I have made mistakes. I show caring when I help with the Brownie troop with the young girls.
