Improving the community will always be a priority for me. I do some of many community services with the National Honor Society. As President, one has to manage and plan for different volunteer events. We have been part of Boo at the Zoo and For the Love of the Lake. The biggest accomplishment we have planned was the Christmas Party for AIDS Service of Dallas.
A few years ago, I did not know if I would be able to attend or afford to go to college. Having the opportunity to go to college and being able to better my education is one of the biggest accomplishments of my life so far. Reminiscing on my college adventure currently, I can say that even the little things instilled in me have changed in some sort of way. My college experience so far has altered my mind mentally and emotionally, but I have also grown more independent, self-disciplined, and less stressed. There was never a question if I were going to college, it was where. I remember having serious college talk when I was seven, eight, nine years old!
