Are Pit Bulls Dangerous? This is a simple question, but with many different responses. According to an opinion poll on the dangers of Pit Bulls done by Peter Moore back in 2014, the results were shocking since most agreed that they are not dangerous. I will discuss how the poll is broken down and also critique how the poll was done.

Are Pit Bulls Dangerous
Pit bulls have always had a bad reputation for years of being a vicious dog breed. Mostly because everything you hear is negative, they have been involved in another attack of a small child or they have a raging temper that leads to destruction. However, with this being said, I know a lot of friends who have pit bulls in their own homes and also around small children. Yes, these animals …show more content…

According to this poll the regions they gathered this information from was the Northeast, Midwest, South, and West of the United States of America. I don't want to give the wrong impression that this is always a bad idea, but it is not ideal for this poll in my opinion. Let's take the first question, "If you are consider adopting a dog would you adopt a pit bull?" for example I can gather that 50% of the total would say no, but I can go further 33% of white people would say yes, while 8% of people from the west region would not even adopt a dog. Therefore this makes the results very muggy to decipher. While the results can be broken down by categories I can't say a Hispanic, female age 35 says yes t adopting a pit bull because the results are not organized in this type manner. Leading to the numbers adding up to 100 and yes this is perfectly done, even with it being confusing they took extra time in making this correct. This poll also got 1,000 people to complete this survey giving it an accurate amount of distribution with answers given. All in all it has its pros and cons, with negatives outweighing the positives, this poll could have been better, but with the information that was given and organized I would say it was a successful opinion poll. I know have a deeper insight to how people feel about pit bulls on a deeper level, and just hope this understanding to increase and know pit bulls need love too regardless of their
