Many of the events described in Polybius’ volumes were written contemporaneously with the rise of imperial, republican Rome providing insight into the events and thinking of the time. While it is likely that the average student of history is familiar with the wars and battles of Rome, such as the Punic Wars, very little attention is paid to the strategy and tactics of the Roman army.
Harnessing Stoic philosophy as its didactic foundation, Roman supremacy would bring the hopes of political reunification to fruition; fulfilling what Alexander the Great could not in his oikaumenn . What began as mere memories manifested in the Roman military mindset, in its propulsion to subdue. Not only was Polybius’ milieu essential in writing history (Halbwach ), but his milieu served his history. Aristotle’s beliefs in the essentials of tragedy and comedy can be found in Poetics.
Every individual on this planet has a valuable and unique point of view, which is why our society has progressed so far in our knowledge of the past, present, and future. In Big History looking at the same data with different perspectives can lead to valuable information, extensive knowledge, theories, ideas, and observations. Aristotle had a very valuable point of view that was accepted for over 2,000 years and was used by many people to make new discoveries, including Lavoisier, who with a contrasting perspective, made many contributions to the way we understand elements in the present-day. If everybody had the same opinion, our nation would never develop and advance, because no one would ever be able to look at information and elaborate

Plato is best known for his poetic and rhetoric attributes Aristotle's earlier philosophical works in poetry discusses "dramatic" dialogues, that are constructed poetically, which branch into self-inflicted corruption as poetry reveals its audience.
