It can be easy to say that Germany caused World War II to happen but it is just as easy to point fingers. It was after all the most deadly war to date. Fifty million lives were lost. This paper is going to be about how Germany, under the leadership of Adolf Hitler, managed to cause so much pain and devastation throughout the world. This includes the political ideology that drove the war, the military strategy that revolutionized warfare, and the friendships with other countries that made and broke them. Unfortunately, much of World War II can be traced by the decisions made by the end of World War I especially in the Treaty of Versailles signed in June 28, 1919 (History.com/topics/world-war-i/treaty-of-versailles). The blame was put on Germany for casing so much hostility and as a result, they got much of the guilt. Land was taken from Germany and they were made to pay for the war debt. First, he tried to have a coup or a revolution and he overthrew the government of Germany. He was arrested and was put to jail where he wrote his book “Mein Kampf “ or in English, “My Struggle.” It was a book about his younger days, his plans for the country, and his ideas on politics and race (Historyplace.com/worldwar2/riseofhitler/kampf.htm). This book became famous and made him a millionaire (History.com/topics/world-war-ii/nazi-party). A lot of people referred to this book as the bible of Nazi Party. Hitler also wrote in the book the fact that he blames the Treaty of Versailles for the loss of Germany’s pride and heart. Germany was very vulnerable as a society and needed someone or something to blame. Hitler abused this, stepped in, and blamed the Jews (Historynet.com/adolph-hitler).
