The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow follows the life of an odd character named Ichabod Crane. Ichabod was a deceiving man due to his selfish ways. Although he was fairly good with kids his intentions to marry Katrina were egotistical. Katrina came from much wealth and once Ichabod imagined himself inheriting such possessions he became greedy. He only intended to marry her for her wealth. Ichabod was very lanky and tall whereas Brom Bones was the opposite; he was very strong and considered the alpha male of the town. Ichabod struggled to ride a horse but Brom Bones was the best horse rider around. If Ichabod had better intentions in attempting to marry Katrina his outcome would have drastically changed. Brom Bones could have understood Ichabod’s true love for Katrina and might have stayed out of the way. Instead Ichabod Crane stuck to his selfish ways and ended up disappearing. Katrina wasn’t completely innocent though; she used Ichabod to make Brom jealous. …show more content…

She was a tough lady to impress and she wasn’t very interested in what Ichabod had to offer. If Ichabod and Katrina were to have a relationship together it would have been a cruel one, it would have been missing the true love and affection of a real relationship. The tales of ghost stories, Katrina’s choice of Brom Bones over Ichabod and the description of Sleepy Hollow itself reflect Romanticism.
